Unicode Post Editor

LinkedIn has no bold or italic button, and you never quite know where the …more cut will land. The Unicode Post Editor gives you real bold, italic, underline and more, shows your post the way it will look in the feed, checks it before you publish, and keeps every draft in one place.

It lives at evyus.com/tools/post-editor, it is free, needs no login, and runs in your browser: your text and drafts stay on your own computer.

  • Anyone who writes LinkedIn posts and wants a few key words to stand out.
  • Anyone who writes for X (Twitter) and is tired of guessing the character count, or who wants a long post split into a thread.
  • Anyone who wants all their drafts in one list, marked Draft, Ready or Posted.

Use the list under the writing box to choose what you are writing: a LinkedIn post, comment, headline, About section, connection note or message, or an X post, X Premium long post or X thread. The character limit, the preview and the checks switch to match.

Highlight words and click B, I, U or S, or use the keyboard shortcuts (Ctrl+B for bold, Ctrl+I for italic). Nothing selected? Turn bold on and keep typing. More tools on the toolbar:

  • Styles for more letter styles, and Sans or Serif.
  • List for bullets and numbered lists, Aa to change case, and Spacing to clean up line breaks.
  • Emoji for emoji, arrows, numbers and dividers.
  • Formats to start from a proven post structure, such as a listicle, story to lesson, before and after, contrarian take or framework.
  • Clear removes styling.

You can also paste from Google Docs, Word, Notion, a web page or ChatGPT, and your bold, italic and bullet lists come along as styles LinkedIn keeps.

The Feed preview shows your post as it will look on Desktop or Phone, with the …more fold marked. The Post check looks at your hook length, walls of text, hashtags, links, typed @mentions (which do not tag anyone when pasted), how much of the text is styled, em dashes, phrases that sound like AI, hidden characters, and whether you end with a question. Many checks have a button to show you where the problem is.

In X thread mode, the editor splits your post into numbered posts that each fit, cutting at paragraph and sentence breaks.

Ask evyAI opens the evyAI Agent with your draft and a request: write stronger hooks, tighten it, suggest a closing line, coach me on this post, follow-up post ideas, or rewrite it as an X post.

Save draft keeps it in My drafts. Copy post copies it, and Copy & open LinkedIn copies it and opens LinkedIn so you can paste. New post starts fresh.

  • Styled text that pastes into LinkedIn or X and keeps its formatting.
  • My drafts: every draft with a status (Draft, Ready, Posted), filters, Import, Export JSON and Export CSV. Coming from the old editor? Export there, then Import here.
  • Share draft: copies a link that opens this draft for someone else, such as a reviewer. Nothing is stored on a server; the draft travels inside the link.

The Post Editor is a “make it” step of the content loop on the evyAI Tools overview, between Hook Lab (how to open) and the Content Calendar (when to post).

  • In: Start a post with it in Hook Lab, and Open in Post Editor on a Content Calendar card, both open the editor with a banner offering Open it in the editor.
  • Make a carousel sends your post to the Carousel Maker, where evyAI can rewrite it as slides or you can split it into slides yourself.
  • Schedule this opens the Content Calendar with the post ready: pick a day, or leave the date blank to keep it in the backlog. Your drafts also appear in the calendar’s Pull from your tools panel.
  • Hook Lab’s Find my hook tab can read your current draft with Use my Post Editor draft and suggest hook styles that fit it.
  • Styled letters are special Unicode characters. Screen readers read them poorly and LinkedIn search may not match them, so use them for a few key words, not whole paragraphs. The Post check warns you when it gets heavy.
  • On X, styled letters, emoji and links count extra toward the limit. The counter shows the real number.
  • Drafts live in this browser on this computer. Export them to back up or move.
  • Ask evyAI needs an evyAI account; the editor itself is free.
  • Questions or ideas go to Request a tool or Report a problem at evyus.com/tools/whats-new.
