Hook Lab
The first line decides whether anyone reads the rest. Hook Lab is a library of 1,500+ proven hooks in 49 styles, filled in with your details as you type, plus a builder that turns the hook you pick into a full opener and then into finished content with evyAI.
It lives at evyus.com/tools/hook-lab, it is free, needs no login, and runs in your browser. Nothing is sent anywhere until you click an evyAI button. It replaces the old LinkedIn Headline Generator.

Section titled “Who it’s for”- Anyone who stares at a blank first line, or writes the same kind of opener every time.
- Anyone who has a hook and wants it turned into a LinkedIn post, an X thread, a Reel script, an article or email subject lines.
- Anyone who wants to get better at hooks with a little practice each day.

- The styles tab explains all 49 styles, grouped into 7 types, with when to use each.
- Find my hook: paste your draft (or Use my Post Editor draft) and press Suggest hook styles to see the styles that fit what you wrote.
- Steal like an artist: paste a hook that stopped your scroll and Make it mine in evyAI explains why it works, turns it into a template and writes versions about your topic. Add to my templates keeps it in your library.
- Hook Tournament: evyAI writes a batch of hooks across every type, scores them and picks the winners. Paste the results back and Show my winners.
Each hook card has Copy, Save, Test, Build, a button for evyAI to write more like it, and Used it. Mark the hooks you use, and Hook Lab nudges you when your feed is getting repetitive.
3. Build the opener
Section titled “3. Build the opener”Press Build on any hook to open Build content. Your opener is built line by line: Line 1: the hook, Line 2: the rehook (keeps them reading) and Line 3: the promise (what they get). Each line has a dice button for a different one and a list to pick from.
From there: Copy opener, Start a post with it (opens the Post Editor with the opener loaded), Schedule it (sends it to the Content Calendar), Save, or ask evyAI for more openers.

Where it fits
Section titled “Where it fits”Hook Lab is the “how to open” step of the content loop on the evyAI Tools overview. What to say comes first, from Problem Discovery, Question Discovery or Trend Finder. From Hook Lab:
- Start a post with it sends the opener to the Post Editor.
- Choosing the carousel format has evyAI write slides; paste its answer into “Paste evyAI’s answer here” in the Carousel Maker.
- Schedule it puts the opener on a day, or in the backlog, of the Content Calendar, which also shows your saved hooks in its Pull from your tools panel.
The loop comes back here: the My Posts Analyzer has Save the first line to Hook Lab, which adds your own best-performing openers to your Saved list.
Limits
Section titled “Limits”- Saved hooks, templates and your Gym streak live in this browser on this computer.
- Hook Lab writes openers itself; full posts, scripts and articles are written by evyAI, which needs an evyAI account.
- Questions or ideas go to Request a tool or Report a problem at evyus.com/tools/whats-new.
