SSL / HTTPS
SSL/TLS certificate
In one sentenceThe padlock in the browser: an encrypted connection between visitors and your site. Free, and expected everywhere.
What it means
HTTPS encrypts traffic so nobody in between can read or change it. It needs an SSL certificate (technically TLS) for your domain. Let's Encrypt issues them for free, and most hosts set them up automatically.
Browsers warn visitors away from sites without HTTPS, and many features (including some Chrome extension and webhook setups) require it.
How to use it
- After pointing a domain at a new server with an A Record, ask your AI agent to install a free Let's Encrypt certificate and set up automatic renewal.
- Webhook URLs should always start with https://.
