Positioning is the decision about which category you compete in and how you stand apart in it. "The LinkedIn AI tool built for relationship-driven sellers" is positioning; "we do AI" is not.
How to use it
- Pick a narrow lane you can win, then repeat it everywhere until people say it back to you.
- Ask customers how they would describe you to a friend. Their words are your real positioning.
