Competitor Finder

Find everyone who competes with you, and learn from them

What it does
We hunt for the people and companies that compete with you: their websites, LinkedIn profiles, offers, and content. You tell us competitor or not, and every month we find more, better matched. By year end you have a categorized map of your competition by geography, size, audience, and practice area.
You set up once
  • What you do, who you serve, and where
  • Competitors you already know (3 to 5 seeds)
  • Categories that matter to you (geography, firm size, audience, practice area, price tier)
  • Who is not a competitor (partners, peers you refer to)
You get
  • Monthly batch of 20 candidates: website, LinkedIn profile, what they offer, who they serve, pricing if public, follower count, posting frequency
  • Thumbs up or down on each, with a reason, and the finder learns your definition
  • A Competitor Library organized by the categories you chose, with tags like Direct, Adjacent, Aspirational, Local
  • Per competitor: what to learn from them (best post, best offer, best page) and where you beat them
  • Quarterly map: how many competitors by category, who is growing, gaps nobody is serving
The loop (why people stay)
Nothing new until last month's batch is graded. Every grade teaches the search. Confirmed competitors flow into Competitor Watch for weekly monitoring. Year end: a full competitive map with 100 to 200 confirmed names.
Why this workflow
Most business owners can name three competitors and have never looked at the other fifty. Knowing the field is how you price, position, and find the gap. Grading keeps the list yours instead of a generic industry dump.

  • SerpAPI (search, local pack, 'similar to' queries)

Why found: lookalike of two competitors you confirmed in August, same audience (owners, 10 to 50 staff), 12 miles from you. Learn from: their pricing page is clearer than yours. You beat them: no AI, no training, no community.

What your grades taught us last month

You rejected 6 of 20. All 6 were software-only with no human service.
This month's batch filters out pure software. Library now: Direct 21, Adjacent 28, Local 9, Aspirational 5. Gap spotted: nobody in the library serves home services companies in the Northeast.
