Persona
In one sentenceA defined voice or identity the AI writes as: who is speaking, their background, expertise and boundaries.
What it means
In AI writing tools, a persona describes the person (or company) behind the words: their role, industry, expertise, tone, and what they would never say. The AI uses it to write as that person.
In marketing, "buyer persona" means something different: a profile of your ideal customer. Both are useful in prompts.
How to use it
- Write a persona once and reuse it instead of re-explaining yourself every time.
- The best personas include boundaries: banned words, topics to avoid, structural rules.
- Create different personas for different platforms or audiences.
