Grok Bot
Grokbot
In one sentencexAI's app for creating named AI agents that work on their own cloud computer, connect to your tools and keep running after you close your laptop.
What it means
Grok Bot, launched by xAI in August 2026, is a Harness around xAI's Grok models. You create an agent, give it a name and a job, connect it to tools like Gmail, Slack or Google Calendar, and let it work on a schedule. Each bot has its own cloud computer where it can browse, log into services and edit files, and several bots can work in parallel.
A standout feature is teach-a-task: you record your screen doing a workflow once, and the bot turns it into a repeatable skill. It is different from @grok, the chatbot you can tag on X.
At launch, access was limited to certain paid xAI and Cursor plans. Check xAI for current availability and pricing.
How to use it
- Start with one bot and one clear job: a daily research brief, inbox triage with drafted replies, or monitoring a list of companies.
- Use the teach-a-task recording for anything you do the same way every week.
- Give it a separate login where possible, and keep a Human in the Loop for anything that sends messages or spends money.
