Computer Use
Browser agent
In one sentenceAI that operates a computer or web browser like a person: looking at the screen, clicking, typing and filling in forms.
What it means
Some agents can control a browser or desktop directly. They take screenshots, decide what to click, and complete tasks in websites that have no API.
It is powerful and still slower and less reliable than a direct integration. It also carries risk if the agent reads malicious instructions on a web page (see Prompt Injection).
How to use it
- Use it for tedious web tasks: collecting information from many pages, filling repetitive forms, checking listings.
- Watch it work the first few times, and do not let it submit payments, send messages or change account settings without your approval.
- Respect each platform's terms of service. Automating LinkedIn activity can put your account at risk.
