Word-choice marks
Some AI tools hide a statistical pattern in which words they pick. Removing characters cannot touch that. Fresh wording can. Turn on AI Rewrite for pasted text and it says the same thing in new words, keeping your facts, names, numbers and links.
Will this get my text past AI detectors?
No tool can promise that any AI detector will pass or fail your text. Detectors guess from writing style, not just hidden marks. The best fix is to make it yours: add your own stories, opinions and examples.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Files are cleaned right here in your browser and never sent to us. The only thing that leaves your device is pasted text when AI Rewrite is on, and we do not keep it.
Can it remove watermarks baked into image pixels?
No. Some image generators hide a mark in the pixels themselves (Google SynthID, for example). Those are not stored as file data, so cleaning metadata does not remove them. This tool removes the labels and credentials stored in the file. Your picture stays pixel-for-pixel the same.
Why did my emoji survive?
On purpose. Emoji use some of the same invisible joiners, so we keep the ones that hold a real emoji together and remove the rest.
What if a file cannot be cleaned?
The page tells you why in plain English and what to try next. Password-protected PDFs, old .doc files and iPhone HEIC photos are the usual ones.
