Networking with Joe

One page that makes it effortless for anyone to introduce Joe Apfelbaum, share Joe's free stuff, or bring Joe into a room. Every block below is written to be copied as-is, with [brackets] marking the only words the sender changes.

Two audiences use it. Referrers (friends, clients, affiliates, hosts) land here from a link Joe sends and grab an intro. Joe and the team use it as the canonical copy-paste library when they go networking, so nothing lives only in someone's Notes app.

Type once and every template on the page fills in. Clear a box to get the brackets back. Nothing is saved or sent anywhere.
01 · TOP OF PAGE

Header & quick links

The page should answer "how do I reach Joe" before anything else, because half the visitors came for exactly that.

  • Headline: "Networking with Joe" with a one-liner: "Everything you need to introduce me, share my free tools, or get me on your stage. Copy, paste, done."
  • Four buttons, always visible (built, in the top bar): Email Joe (joe@ajaxunion.com) · Book 15 minutes (evyus.com/booking) · LinkedIn (linkedin.com/in/joeapfelbaum) · WhatsApp (+1 917-865-7631). All four are already public on Joe's LinkedIn profile.
  • A "How to use this page" strip: "Pick a section, hit Copy, swap the [bracketed] words, send." Three steps, one line.
  • Personalizer (built, see the top of this page): their first name, your name, your affiliate link. Fills every template at once.
  • Filter chips: Email · DM · Verbal · Social post · Prompt. Clicking one hides everything else so a referrer on their phone sees only what they need.
  • Search box that filters blocks by keyword ("podcast", "affiliate", "Zoom").

What Joe gives every person he meets

Joe gives each person a conversation that includes ideas, intros, invites, strategy, and an authentic relationship built on trust. That is his Five I's in practice, and it is why people say yes to a second call.

  • Ideas about their business, their content, their positioning.
  • Intros from 30,000 connections and a vetted community.
  • Invites to office hours, the Prospecting Party, a LinkedIn Live, an event.
  • Strategy they can use that week, not a pitch.
  • A relationship that keeps going after the call.

Get to know Joe

For the referrer who wants to vouch with confidence and the host who wants to know who is walking on stage. Values are drafted from Joe's own writing and are his to edit; everything else is from his LinkedIn record and public pages.

Core values, in Joe's words
  1. High energy. Every conversation should leave the other person with more energy than they came in with. 136 people have endorsed him on LinkedIn for "Amazing Energy."
  2. Give first. Sharing is caring: ideas, intros and invites before any ask. Pitches get stitches.
  3. Be present. Listen, repeat back what people say, use their name. Email is not a meeting.
  4. Be yourself. People are attracted to sincerity. If you make a mistake, laugh at yourself.
  5. Self-education. From yeshiva and rabbinical ordination to teaching himself marketing, technology and AI. Formal education earns a living; self-education earns a fortune.
  6. Consistency and accountability. Habits control actions, and the real enemy is inconsistency. He timestamps his own profile updates so people can hold him to it.
  7. Automate your tech, not your relationships. A human approves everything that touches another human.
Skills, by the people who endorsed them

Joe Apfelbaum is the founder and CEO of evyAI, the AI assistant for LinkedIn used by more than 23,000 professionals in over 40 countries, and the CEO of Ajax Union, the B2B digital marketing agency he founded in Brooklyn in 2008 and grew onto the Inc. 500 list of America's fastest growing companies.

Joe has spent 16 years on LinkedIn and published more than 11,000 posts there. His frameworks, including 1-5-10-20, Greeting, Feeding, Meeting, the Five I's and the Evyrgreen Networking System, are built directly into evyAI and taught in his free daily office hours, his LinkedIn Class and his Skool community, AI for LinkedIn, which has more than 1,800 members. LinkedIn itself brings him in to train its own employees on the platform.

Before evyAI, Google made Joe a Certified Google Trainer and he trained more than 10,000 business owners over five years, which is how a self-described introvert discovered he loved a stage. He now speaks to EO, YPO, Vistage, YJP and Women Presidents Organization groups on LinkedIn, AI for business development, and networking, and works as a professional emcee and moderator.

He is the author of five High Energy books: High Energy Networking, High Energy Marketing, High Energy Purpose, High Energy Answers, and High Energy Secrets, the story of how he lost 95 pounds and kept it off. He hosted The Breakthrough Maze podcast and is launching The evyAI Podcast.

Our next speaker started a marketing agency in Brooklyn in 2008 with no outside funding and grew it onto the Inc. 500 list. Then he did something most agency owners never do: he built software. evyAI is now the AI assistant more than 23,000 people open before they touch LinkedIn.

He's the author of five books, including High Energy Networking. He has spoken to EO, YPO and Vistage chapters around the country, and LinkedIn brings him in to train its own employees. And he has a rule that every conversation should leave the other person with more energy than they came in with.

Joe's 10 Commandments of Networking

In his own words, from the 2015 article and the High Energy Networking book.

  1. Thou shalt not judge. Treat everyone with respect, be curious, ask questions.
  2. Sharing is caring. Ask what you can do for them and who you can introduce them to.
  3. Make introductions. Act like the host. Ask who they want to meet.
  4. Be present. Repeat back what people say so they know you are listening, not scanning the room.
  5. Use the name. Ask for it, say it, and ask again if you forget.
  6. Follow up. Pick two people, get their cell numbers, text them a selfie the same day.
  7. Find things in common. Hobbies and passions build trust faster than job titles.
  8. Finish high. Leave a conversation while it is still good.
  9. Have fun. If you make a mistake, laugh at yourself.
  10. Be yourself. People are attracted to sincerity.
Joe's LinkedIn method, the four names
  • Post. Engage. Message. Connect. The four daily actions. The outcome that matters is five conversations a day.
  • 1-5-10-20. One post, five strategic comments, ten DMs, twenty connection requests a day. About 1,000 new connections every 90 days.
  • Greeting, Feeding, Meeting. Greet with no ask. Feed value. Then ask for a real conversation. Phone, video or in person; email is not a meeting.
  • The Five I's. Information, Introductions, Invitations, Ideas, Identity. The five ways to feed a relationship before you ask for anything.
  • Evyrgreen Networking System. Plan, People, Promise, Stories, Presence, Systems, then Exposure, Credibility, Conversations. The nine steps behind Pro onboarding.

All five are written up at evyus.com/knowledgebase.

  2. Walk us through 1-5-10-20. What does a real 15-minute LinkedIn day look like?
  3. You built evyAI after 15 years of running an agency. What did the agency teach you that a software founder would miss?
  4. LinkedIn brings you in to train its own employees. What do they get wrong about their own platform?

Build notes

Things that make the page work as a tool rather than a document. Filled boxes are done on this page; empty ones are for the evyus.com build.

Copy button on every block, with a "Copied" state. That is the whole product.
Personalizer at the top: "Their first name" and "Your name" swap the brackets in every template on the page.
Affiliate-link input that rewrites every evyai.com mention in every template.
Short URL and QR code for the page itself (below).
A "Last updated" date in the eyebrow. Add a one-line changelog on each edit.
Live at evyus.com/networking, public and indexable, evyAI colors and Poppins, logo and the four contact buttons in the top bar.
Filter chips by channel and a search box, so the page works on a phone at an event.
UTM on every outbound link, tagged by template, so Joe can see which intro converts.
"Download everything as a doc" for people who want it in Notion or Google Docs.
Third person / first person toggle on the bios.
"Run this in evyAI" button beside each prompt (app.evyai.com/app/chat/?q=).
Keep it one page. Sections collapse, nothing lives on a subpage.

Short URL: evyus.com/networking. One word after the slash, easy to say on stage. The QR above points at it and is safe to put on the back of a slide or a business card.

Deployed as a static folder under the evyus.com web root, next to the other free tools.
